PURPOSE:To prevent the cut of a blade edge by setting the virtual vectors parallel to X and Z axes in response to the angle formed by a mobile axis and a coordinate axis and deciding a virtual component and a correction side to use them as the standards for correcting arithmetic. CONSTITUTION:A nose R correcting device contains a CPU 1 serving as a controller for an NC machine tool, a normal input/output means 2, a position control drive means 3, a storage means 4 together with an additional cut preventing device consisting of a shift command setting circuit 5, a switching block deciding circuit 6, a virtual vector processing means 7, a virtual component processing means 8 which decides a virtual component and a correction side, and a nose R correction processing means 9. Then the time of relief, etc., are decided from two shift command codes which are continuous in an NC working program. Then a cut preventing vector is set from the shift angle formed between said two command codes. Furthermore the corresponding relation between the blade edge points and the moving directions is shown in a nose correction table.
