PURPOSE:To maintain a welding head part at an adequate angle at all times by presetting the condition for adjusting the angle, and rotating automatically the welding head part by a preset time upon arriving of the welding head part at a prescribed position. CONSTITUTION:Virtual points P0-P7 are provided on an object 17 to be welded, and the space between the virtual points are respectively designated as L1, L2-L7. The adequate welding speeds in the respective positions of L1-L7 are set at welding speed setters 111-116. The welding times between the virtual points are set at welding time setters 121-126. Driving times are further set at driving time setters 131-135 for motors. If the adequate angles of the welding head part at the L1-L7 are assumed to be respectively constant, the motor which rotates the welding head part at the point of the time when the welding head travels from the welding start point P0 and arrives at the point P1 is driven for a prescribed time to adjust the head part to the angle adequate for welding the next L2. The angle is thereafter adjusted continuously and automatically by the similar method at the L2-L7 as well until the welding head part arrives at the P0-P7, whereby the automatic TIG welding is accomplished. |
