PURPOSE:To remove redundancy data and to simplify retrieving information collecting continuous line data in each sort of various information to form a data base and holding the data base in each table controlled by a relational type data base. CONSTITUTION:A line code data for discriminating a road including the data of various information existing in continuous roads and positional data indicating a position including the information are collected in each sort of information, e.g. road structure, a district boundary, paving, etc., to form a road structure list 41, a district boundary list 42 and a paving list 43 as a data base 4. Consequently, a straight district can be simply found out by the length from a position to a position. In order to know a district boundary in the straight district, data superposing the straight district and the district boundary are coupled and retrieved by using a coupling means in a relational type system 2. |
