PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a misfire detecting device capable of detecting even a misfire in an intermittent cylinder, and capable of accurately detecting the misfire even if a structure such as an engine damper is arranged. SOLUTION: An engine output shaft 21 has a rotation time detecting means (Step S12, S22, S32 and S42) for detecting crank rotation time of respective cylinders required for rotating by a specific angle from the ignition timing of the respective cylinders, a parameter operation means (Step S50) for arithmetically operating a misfire parameter of the respective cylinders on the basis of the detected crank rotation time of the respective cylinder, and a misfire cylinder determining means 15 for determining a misfire cylinder on the basis of a combination of largeness/smallness of the arithmetically operated misfire parameter of the respective cylinders.
