<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate a wheel stopper for a lifter for carrying a physically handicapped person on a wheelchair into or out of a vehicle, by automatically turning a wheel stop plate down when a platform is moved down to the ground. CONSTITUTION:When a lift switch is put into a descent position, a platform 8 is moved down in horizontal posture by the retraction of a vertical drive cylinder 21 through a link 24 and lift arms 6a, 6b. Right before the platform 8 reaches the ground, the supply of oil pressure is stopped so that the platform 8 gravitates. At that time, the operating part 52b of a stop member 52 comes into contact with the ground so that the member is turned and the operating part is disengaged from an operating rod 48. After that, the operating rod 48 comes into contact with the ground so that the rod is pushed up and a wheel stop plate 8a is turned down against a torsion spring 56. As a result, a wheelchair can be put on the platform 8 or taken away therefrom.</p> |
