PURPOSE:To improve the strength of a weld zone by inserting a weld stud providing plural electrode projections on the inside of its flange part into a base metal on which a through hole is pierced and abutting the flange part on the base metal to perform the arc stud welding. CONSTITUTION:A weld stud main body 10 providing plural electrode projections 15 on the inside of its flange part 14 is inserted into the base metal 18 on which the through hole 19 is pierced. The electrode projections 15 of the flange part 14 are abutted on one side of the base metal 18 to perform the arc stud welding. By this method, the strength of the weld zone can be improved and the welding can be simplified and the running cost can be reduced.
