PURPOSE:To prevent a steering wheel from warping by increasing the resistance against a movable bracket through a damper when the rotary speed of the movable bracket is high during away operation. CONSTITUTION:A spring 30 having the opposite ends secured respectively to a fixed bracket 2 and a movable bracket 5 tries to rotate the movable bracket 5 counter-clockwise around a pin 4, but the tooth 7 of a ratchet 6 secured to the movable bracket 5 engages with the tooth 16 of a ball 15 positioned between a collar 19 and the ratchet 6 thereby one end of a main lever 9 for pivoting the ball 15 is held by a hook lever 14 and a second pin 11 thus blocking motion of the main lever 9 completely. |
