摘要 PURPOSE:To enable numbers of large resonance frequencies to be voluntarily obtained with the same gyrotron, enable transmission modes to be made the same, and stably obtain an electromagnetic-wave generation source with a large electric power by providing a plural number of cavity resonators in an interaction area, and making the resonance frequencies of the cavity resonators to gradually decrease from the electron gun side to the collector side. CONSTITUTION:The frequencies f18, f19, f20, f21 and f22 of opening-type resonators 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22, which are indicated in the figure, satisfy the relationship of f18<f19<f20<f21<f22. Therefore, electromagnetic waves interact with electron beams in the resonator 18 due to the cyclotron resonance, and the excited electromagnetic waves can be transmitted toward a collector 13. Consequently, by decreasing the resonance frequencies of a plural number of cavity resonators gradually as they become distant from an electron gun, an electromagnetic-wave output which is obtained due to the interaction between the electromagnetic waves of each resonator 18, 19, 20, 21 or 22 and an electron group, which has cyclotron movement related with the external magnetic field, can be taken out easily.
