The invention relates to a device for recording operating states at work stations of a spinning machine, especially thread breaks at spinning stations of a ring-spinning machine, which has, for each spinning station, a thread-break sensor, emitting a thread-break signal when a thread break is sensed, and at least one working member which can be loaded by the thread-break signal from the thread-break sensor.
