PURPOSE:To measure a moisture value with high accuracy, by making the density of a particulate material constant by providing a vibrator to a moisture measuring container and measuring the moisture of the particulate material is said container while correcting the measured moisture value of the basis of a density value. CONSTITUTION:Cereals are charged from a cereal feed port 2 and thrown in a moisture measuring container 8 through a feed trough 6. A vibrator 32 is provided to the wall of a container 8 to vibrate said container 8 and a predetermined amount of cereals are charged in the container 8 to make the density of cereals uniform and constant. A weighing apparatus is attached to the container 8 to weigh the cereals in the container 8. A moisture sensor 18 is further provided to the wall of the container 8 to measure the moisture of cereals. Because the density difference of the particulate material is eliminated by vibrating the moisture measuring container to measure density and the measured moisture value is corrected on the basis of the density value, a moisture value can be measured with high accuracy. |
