PURPOSE:To grasp a use state of each instruction by providing a function storing the use state, whenever a processing of each instruction is executed, when the use state of a register operand of each instruction and a program interruption state are unknown. CONSTITUTION:A code of the program interruption which is inputted to a buffer 3 used for the interruption code is decoded by a decoder 6 and is detected whether it is an interruption code by a prescribed instruction code or not in a coincidence circuit 8, and an access signal for bringing the corresponding resister to access is obtained. Subsequently, a counter of a counter group 12 reads its contents from the corresponding register and adds by '1' and its result is re-stored in this counter. A data stored in each register, namely, the number of times of appearance of each instruction is read out by a reading-out circuit 13 and 14, respectively. In such a way, the number of times of appearance (number of times of use) of a register operand for each instruction, a kind of a program interruption for each instruction and its number of times of appearance can be measured, respectively.
