PURPOSE:To judge automatically and rapidly whether or not the ink jetting operation is good, by a method wherein a rotatable cylinder is used as a recording medium and a cleaner eliminating ink particles recorded on a recording surface of the recording medium after photographing is provided. CONSTITUTION:An ink head 1 is driven due to a drive signal from the external and, thereby, ink particles are emitted from respective emitting ports at the same time to be sprayed in alignment on a recording surface A of a recording medium 8 to be recorded. The recording surface with the ink particles is traveled as a cylinder 8 rotates, until it reaches the focal position of a camera 5. At this time, the camera 5 actuates by a timing signal to photograph the ink particles on the recording surface and outputs a photograph image to a signal processor 6. The signal processor 6 conducts the signal-processing of the photograph image of the ink particles and makes a display 7 display the image and judges whether or not the ink jetting operation of the ink head is good. After that, the ink particles on the cylindrical recording surface A, which were photographed by the camera 5, are removed by a cleaner 9 at the completion of photographing as the cylinder 8 rotates. Therefore, the evaluation of the ink head can be conducted automatically and rapidly. |
