PURPOSE:To realize finer recording electrodes and maintain favorable energization characteristics, by providing the recording electrodes for energizing a conductive resistor layer by using an Ni-P, Fe-P or Co-P alloy plating or a composite plating comprising particles dispersed in the alloy plating. CONSTITUTION:A head substrate 2 is formed of a ceramic comprising Al2O3 and MgO as main constituents, a lower layer plating for forming negative electrodes is provided by subjecting the substrate 2 to electroless Cu plating 3, and a cyclized rubber photoresist is applied to the substrate 2. Next, the photoresist is exposed to light, thereby forming a negative pattern of recording electrodes. The electroless Cu plating is etched to form a recording electrode pattern. Then, an Ni-P alloy plating is deposited on the plated Cu pattern 3 to form the recording electrodes 4. By this, it is possible to make finer a plurality of recording electrodes provided on the substrate of a recording head, and favorable energization characteristics can be maintained. |
