<p>PURPOSE:To simultaneously form plural kinds of multi-beams and to effectively utilize all of the elements, by converting the microwave signal of a conformal array antenna to a digital signal, and synthesizing the digital signals at a digital beam formation circuit. CONSTITUTION:The titled system is operated in such a way that low noise amplifiers 101-10n, analog-digital converters 111-11n, and optical modulators 121-12n are added on each of the elements 31-3n, and the outputs of the elements are taken out as digital optical signals, and spaces between optical demodulators 81-8n are connected with optical fibers 71-7n, and the outputs of the optical demodulators 81-8n are synthesized at the digital beam formation circuit 9. Since the digital signals including phase amplitude information from the elements 31-3n can be synthesized and processed in parallel arbitrarily, it is possible to synthesize plural kinds of multi-beams simultaneously and to use all of the elements 31-3n effectively, and since the optical fiber is used in the transmission of the signal, it is possible to miniaturize a signal transmission system and eliminate the problem of electromagnetic compatibility.</p> |
