<p>The invention describes a process for the preparation of polyol-containing liquids by reacting polymer scrap comprising polyesters and/or polyamides and/or polyurethanes with at least one linear and/or branched diol and/or polyol having a molecular weight of between 50 and 5000 g/mol and at least one compound containing carboxylic acid or carboxylic acid derivative at a temperature of from 180 to 250@C, where the compound containing carboxylic acid or carboxylic acid derivative is an oligomer or polymer having a mean molecular weight of between about 500 and 50,000 g/mol which is soluble in the diol and/or polyol and has been obtained by polymerisation of at least one carbon-unsaturated monomer containing carboxylic acid or carboxylic acid derivative, alone or mixed with at least one carbon-unsaturated monomer containing no carboxylic acid or carboxylic acid derivative. The polyol-containing liquids prepared according to the invention are highly suitable for the preparation of semirigid to rigid polyurethanes, in particular polyurethane foams.</p> |
