1,221,860. Cases. H. R. HARING. 5 Dec., 1968 [5 Dec., 1967], No. 57927/68. Heading B8P. [Also in Divisions E1-E2] A case comprises a shell 1 with a single aperture 4 in one side, and a drawer 2 with inscription spaces 3 on two opposite sides for alternative alignment with the aperture, either by inserting the drawer in the shell as shown or by rotating the drawer through 180 degrees about its axis of sliding before insertion in the shell. The address of a sender and recipient may be written on the two inscription spaces 3. Leafsprings 5 on the drawer 2 latch behind stops 7 in the shell to prevent displacement of the drawer. To open the case, pegs are inserted through holes 9 in the shell to deflect the ends of the leaf-springs away from the stops 7. The holes 9 may be covered by stamps &c. More than two inscription spaces may be provided, and more than two leaf-springs &c. attached to the drawer and shell. The peg holes 9 may be covered by postage stamps or seals. |
