PURPOSE:To obtain a foamed molding having excellent dimensional stability for a long time, by aging a foamed molding consisting of a polyethylene-styrene copolymer resin under a specific temp. condition. CONSTITUTION:Foamed particles prefoamed by heating a polyethylene-styrene copolymer resin containing an easily-volatile foaming agent are filled in a mold, and a foamed molding obtained by heating them is aged at a temp. of 40-65 deg.C for 4 hours or more, preferably for 8 hours or more. Since a polyethylene-styrene copolymer resin is used as the resin, the foaming agent and the solvent remaining in the foamed molding are easily dispersed out during aging period. After allowing these prefoamed particles to stand at room temp. for 2-14 days, preferably for 3 days or more, they are molded. It is thereby possible to obtain a foamed molding having excellent dimensional stability for a long time. |
