The frame (1) is composed of a pipe section (2) and a marginal part (3) arranged on the outside of the pipe section (2) and projecting outwards. Provided on the inside of the pipe section (2) are projections (4) on which a cover or grating can be supported. The marginal part (3) is designed as a cohesive collar which projects horizontally outwards. The marginal part (3) is arranged at a height (h) below the top margin (8), the height (h) being one third to one half of the overall height (H) of the pipe section (2). Owing to the fact that the marginal part (3) is arranged at a distance from the top margin (8) of the pipe section (2), it will be surrounded on all sides by the material of the roadway paving when the frame (1) is installed, as a result of which the frame (1) is solidly connected to the ground material and cannot be substantially displaced by the traffic flow. …<IMAGE>… |
