PURPOSE:To achieve the increase of long term shelf life and repetitive reproducing characteristics by improving the stability to heat and light, by providing a recording layer which contains at least one compound among pyrylium compound and at least one compound among aminium salt compound or diimonium salt compound. CONSTITUTION:A title optical recording medium can be formed by providing a recording layer 2 consisting of an organic membrane containing at least one pyrylium compound of general formula I, II, III, or IV and aminium salt compound of general formula V or diimonium salt compound of general formula VI on a base 1. Said recording layer 2 can be formed by applying coat liquid prepared by dissolution mixing or dispersion mixing of compounds abovementioned into organic solvent. Polyester or the like are used for the base 1. A construction in which an undercoating layer 3 and/or a protection layer 4 are provided, can be formed. The undercoating layer 3 is established for the purposes of increase of adhesive property, barrier of water or gas and others, increase of shelf life stability of the recording layer, increases of reflectance, protection of the base from solvent, formation and heat release effect of pregroup, etc. |
