PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of printing by removing wasteful printing and labor necessary for registering a plate, by a method wherein a vertical and a horizontal registering means are provided and a magnifier with two reticules which are fixed, in a freely registering manner, are established. CONSTITUTION:Horizontal and a vertical rails 18, 20 constitute a positional regulation means of a magnifier 22. A plate 8 of which the first edition is printed with a press is attached and a small frame 6 removed from a plate cylinder 1 is, at it is, fixed to a surface plate. After aligning a reticule to the index of the plate, the magnifiers 22 are fixed. From and after the second edition, when registered on the surface plate 13 by adjusting the registering bolts 9, 10 of the small frame so that the magnifier if the reticules are aligned with the index of the plate, there shall be dislocation of the plate even through it is, fixed to the plate cylinder as it is. That is, the plate can be immediately used for printing without requiring any adjustment thereof. Further, when a registering means of the same constitution as the small frame is attached to a frame without using the small frame, paper or the like larger than cards can be printed.
