PURPOSE:To prevent any spark generated in a formation process and/or generation of defective products caused by the generated spark, by providing a space between a power feed roller and non-porous blank portion of a porous substrate. CONSTITUTION:Valleys and ridges 2a, 2b arranged in form of stripes are provided on the surface of a power supply roller 2 with the valleys 2a facing a non-porous blank portion 1a. The width of the valley 2a is set, for instance, to 2 times through 10 times the width of the non-porous blank portion 1a of a porous substrate 1 from view of meandering and bending, and the depth thereof is set to more than the thickness 0.5mm of the porous substrate 1. And the substrate is moved, in the process of formation, in such a manner that plural streaks of non-porous blank portion 1a laid along the longitudinal direction of a band-shaped porous substrate can face the valleys 2a of the power supply roller 2. Thereby, formation current is supplied to a porous portion in close contact with the power supply roller, while said porous portion being completely insulated from the non-porous blank portion, thus the spark can be prevented from being generated. |
