PURPOSE:To minimize the deterioration of recording data by controlling the light quantity of a laser pickup as well as the magnetic field of a magnetic field generator at a point preceding a recorded address by a sector when data are recorded to a recording medium or in an inter-track shift mode and when a data write mode is through. CONSTITUTION:A recording medium having a spiral groove is provided together with a laser pickup 2 which can vary the light quantity to the medium, a magnetic field generator 3 which can control the direction and the start/stop of a magnetic field to the medium, and a microprocessor which controls the recording medium, the pickup 2 and the generator 3 respectively. Then the light quantity of the pickup 2 and the magnetic field of the generator 3 are controlled when data are recorded to the medium, at a point preceding a recorded address by a sector or an inter-track shift mode and when a data write mode is through. In such a way, the data can be continuously recorded and at the same time the deterioration of data can be minimized when the medium is radiated by the laser light in the transient mode of actuation of a magnetic field. |
