PURPOSE:To always keep removing efficiency constant by suitably discharging the mixed material which is caught and removed by a filter and is retained in an upstream water supply pipe by a controller to the outside of the water supply piping. CONSTITUTION:The mixed material flowed with water A in a piping 1 is caught and removed by the filter 3 and a downstream pressure gauge 9b detects the pressure of the downstream side of the filter 3. When the detected pressure, etc., reaches a specified value pre-set in a controller 10, the controller 10 is put into operation to close sluice valves 2a, 2b and at the same time to open a by-pass valve 8 and a discharge valve 6. And water A is flowed through the by-pass valve 8 to the filter 3 from the side B which is the downstream side of the filter 3 in ordinary state, and the retained mixed material is discharged with water A through a discharge pipe 5 to the outside of a catching pipe 4. After a specified period set in advance, the controller 10 is operated to restore the ordinary state.
