A photopolymer printing plate suitable for letterpress printing is described in which the photosensitive surface of the plate includes as an intimate part thereof, particulate material, which remains after processing to provide a matte surface for the plate. The particulate material may be silica, alumina, zinc oxide, talc, calcium carbonate, corn starch, or a resin compound and is applied as a dispersion of the particulate material in a suitable solvent. The dispersion, optionally, may include a binder, dyes and surfactants. |
