Diagnostic instrument for testing the human temperature sense

Testing of the human temperature sense is important for diagnosing numerous disorders. This test has previously been carried out with the aid of water-filled test tubes, one filled with cold and one with warm water. Uncontrollable temperature variations and temperature adaptations during the test reduced the validity of the results. The invention relates to a device which produces reproducible conditions for the temperature sense test with the aid of two temperature transmitters and electrically generated, thermostatically controlled heat.
