The automatic toothpaste-tube holder is intended to do away with the inconvenience of manipulating the screwed closure of the tube. The holder consists of a plate, to which a second plate is pivotably fixed by means of an articulation, which serves as a support for the tube. At the lower end of the plate there is provided a segment which has a guide for receiving a collar of a cap which is screwed onto the thread of the tube. A spring holds the tube by its bearing plate in the closed position of the tube opening. When light pressure is applied by the finger against the tube, the latter, or the closure opening, is displaced in the direction of an opening in the segment, so that toothpaste emerges at this opening and can be removed. When the pressure is no longer applied, the tube opening returns to the closed position of the segment.
