PURPOSE:To improve the stability of a track jump by utilizing a low pass filter 7 for a low frequency component forming a phase compensation means as a hold circuit without providing a special voltage hold circuit. CONSTITUTION:The 1st and 3rd switches 8, 15 are turned off by the control of a controller 10 at the track jump control and the 2nd switch 9 is turned on. That is, the output of a phase lead compensation circuit 6 is inhibited and the addition between an output C from a low pass filter 7 and a drive pulse D from a kick pulse generating circuit 11 while the input of the low pass filter 7 is opened is operated as the feedback control variable to the tracking actuator. As a result, the leakage signal from the low pass filter 7 in crossing the recording track is lost. Moreover, the low pass filter 7 applies hold effect and holds the voltage just before track jump, then the stability of the recording track of the low frequency component to deflection is also ensured.
