PURPOSE:To perform assembly without adjustment by fixing a spacer which moves right angles to the center axis of a hole to the bottom part of a lens insertion hole while the center of the hole of the spacer is aligned to the center of the ferrule insertion hole of a receptacle body, and fixing the spherical surface of a collimator lens to the receptacle body in abutting relation with the hole of the spacer. CONSTITUTION:A jig 14 has an axis part 14a inserted into the ferrule insertion hole 11a without clearance, and its tip part 14b is made conic and inserted into the hole 12a of the spacer 12 abutting on the bottom part of the lens insertion hole 11b, so that the center of the ferrule insertion hole 11a is aligned to the center of the hole 12a of the spacer. In this state, the spacer 12 is fixed to the bottom part of the lens insertion hole 11b by electric welding or using an adhesive. Further, the spherical lens 13 is adhered fixedly to the receptacle body with an adhesive while abutting on the edge of the hole 12a of the spacer 12. |
