PURPOSE:To enhance light responsivity to illuminated light in a long wavelength region by using a combination of a specified squarylium derivative and specified benzidine derivative. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body is provided on a conductive substrate 1 with an electric charge generating layer 2 containing one of the squarylium derivative represented by formula I and a charge transfer layer 3 containing one of the benzidine derivative represented by formula II. In these formulae, each of R1 and R2 is hydrogen, alkyl group, hydroxyl, or the like; each of R3 and R4 is hydrogen, hydroxyl group, methyl, or the like; each of R5 and R6 is alkyl group; R7 is alkyl group or alkoxy; and each of R8 and R9 is hydrogen, alkyl group, alkoxy, or the like, thus permitting the obtained electrophotographic sensitive body to be high in light responsivity to illuminated long wavelength lights. |
