PURPOSE:To decrease a power consumption by making an operating power source to a memory on signal generating circuit into a circuit different from the operating power source to the main control circuit of a holding device for a bubble memory cassette. CONSTITUTION:An operating power source 5 to a memory on generating circuit 21 is made into a circuit different from an operating power source to the main control circuit 20 of the holding device for a cassette. A host processor 3 controls the reading/writing action of a bubble memory cassette 1 through a cassette holding device 2. Then, the power source 4 of the main control circuit 20 and the power source 5 of the circuit 21 are both impressed to respective circuits. When the processor 3 stops a data processing action, a power consumption during the standby of the circuit 20 is larger, and therefore, the supply from the power source 4 is cut off. Since the supply from the power source 5 to the circuit 21 is continued, a signal whether or not the cassette 1 is loaded is always sent through a terminal 22 to the processor 3. Thus, the condition when the cassette 1 is loaded to the device 2 can be supervised and the power consumption can be decreased.
