PURPOSE:To simplify the operation required for fixing an engine to a partition wall member after partitioning an engine room by fitting the body side bracket of said partition wall member and an engine side bracket to each other and, then, bonding them via the bolts for an engine mounting. CONSTITUTION:An engine mounting 32 is installed on the side part of an engine 24 while bolts 38 are previously erected on this mounting 32 via an engine side bracket 37, and the engine 24 is installed on the sub-frame 11 of a frame member on the bottom part of an engine room. Then, by lowering a partition wall member 40 which forms the side wall of the engine room onto the sub- frame 11 and, after externally fitting the body side bracket 50 of the partition wall member 40 to the engine side bracket 37, the bolts 38 are inserted into the assembling holes 51 of the body side bracket 50. After the engine room is thus formed, the engine 24 can be fixed to the partition wall member 40 via the engine mounting 32 merely by screwing nuts 66 onto the bolts 38.
