PURPOSE:To obtain a feed to improve breeding result of guinea pig, by blending a feed raw material for guinea pig with fructooligosaccharide and/or lactulose. CONSTITUTION:Grains, animal raw material, vegetable material, vitamins, mineral, etc., used as raw materials for a feed for guinea pig, are blended with about 0.2-10%, especially about 0.5-5% based on total amounts of feed of fructooligoasccharide and/or lactulose. As a means for blending, in a proper period in feed production process, other feed raw materials are simultaneously mixed with the fructooligoasccharide and/or lactulose by a well-known liquid feeder, etc. The fructooligoasccharide and/or lactulose is previously adsorbed on a powdered base and added to the other feed raw materials. The feed may be powder, granule, pellet, crumple and other appropriate shape but the pellet is preferable. |
