PURPOSE:To obtain a cosmetic having improved suppressing effects on sebum secretion, remedying effects on pimple, etc., by blending a cosmetic with an extract prepared from Alisma plantagoaquatica L. CONSTITUTION:A cosmetic which contains preferably 0.1-5wt% based on total amount of cosmetic of an extract from Alisma plantagoaquatica L., preferably an extract with an alcohol or with a hydrous alcohol as an active ingredient, shows excellent effects on improvement in pimple, preventing effects on skin greasiness, oily gloss, etc., can prevent makeup collapse caused by excess secretion of sebum and is especially useful for pimple and acne. These effects are considered to be obtained by mechanism wherein the active ingredient acts on skin, suppresses excess secretion of sebum and maintains the amount of sebum on the skin at a proper level. The amount of fats and oils which are contained in the cosmetic and likely cause greasiness is preferably <10wt% based on total amounts of the cosmetic. |
