A covering tarpaulin for containers (10) of rubble and waste is proposed, which has an essentially central opening, having a holding collar (14), for receiving a chute tube (11) as well as means (15, 16, 21) for attachment to the container (10) and to the chute tube (11). The holding collar (14) has at least one lateral opening (18) which allows emergence of the contents, such as rubble, while the holding collar (14) fills up, and on which a dust guard device (14, 22) is provided. As a result, the emergence of dust is prevented during the filling of the container and, on the other hand, the contents can emerge from said opening (18) at an appropriate filling level, as a result of which filling of the chute tube (11) is effectively prevented. <IMAGE>
