PURPOSE:To make it possible for a user to arbitrarily select the limit of a recording area corresponding to the image area of an information recording medium by selecting a manual recording area designating means, which manually designates the recording area of the information recording medium, or an automatic image area selecting means, which automatically selects the image area, by a switching means. CONSTITUTION:The image area can be manually designated before the start of image recording operation. That is, a switching signal is sent to a CPU 23 through an I/O port 31 by switching to a terminal P1 or P2 of a switch SW in a mode switching means 22 to switch said automatic image area selection or said manual recording area designation. This manual recording area designation is performed by a keyboard, and the recording area is recorded as position information on a RAM 25 through the CPU 23. Thus, the user can arbitrarily select the limit of the recording area corresponding to the image on the information recording medium. |
