PURPOSE:To improve the stability of a liquid developer with age and to decrease the fogging of a magenta dye image by processing a color photographic sensitive material contg. a prescribed magenta coupler with the liquid developer contg. a specific preservative. CONSTITUTION:The color photographic sensitive material having an emulsion layer contg. the developing agent expressed by the formula I is processed with the liquid color developer contg. the compd. expressed by the formula II as the preservative. In the formula, Z denotes a nonmetallic atom group necessary for forming a nitrogenous heterocycle; X denotes H, group which is eliminated by reaction with the oxidant of the developing agent; R denotes H, substituent; R1 denotes an alkoxy substd. alkyl or 1-5C; R2 denotes an (alkoxy substd.) alkyl or 1-5C. Since this liquid has the excellent stability of the preservative, etc., with age, the fluctuations of photographic performance such as fogging and the hard contrast of shoulder parts are decreased and the dye image which decreases the fluctuation of the max. density of the magenta dye is obtd. |
