PURPOSE:To shorten a required time between the starting of operation and completion of filling of a bath with hot water, by a method wherein the quantity of heating per a unit time of a heating means is regulated to a value which satisfies a specified relation between the level and the temperature of water remaining in a bath tub, both being detected. CONSTITUTION:In an automatic hot water filling mode, a hot water filling valve 16 is opened, and a gas burner 1B is automatically ignited. In relation to a lever Hp and a temperature tp of bath tube water, desired by a user, a level Hx and temperature tx, and an incoming water temprature ti, a necessary quantity (q) of heating per a unit time is calculated according to a formula of q={(Hp.tp-Hx.tx)/(Hp-Hx)-ti}Vmax wherein ti is the incoming water temprature of a water feed means. When the calculated necessary quantity (q) of heating is below a rated quantity qa.max of quantity of a hot water feeder 1, operation of a bath burner 7 and a circulating pump 9 is stopped, the quantity qa of heating is regulated to the calculated necessary quantity (q) of heating, and a bath tub is filled with hot water through individual operation of a hot water feeder 1 under a state that a water feed amount (v) is fixed to a rated water feed amount vmax. When the necessary quantity (q) of heating exceeds the rated quantity qa. max and is below a rated quantity qmax of heating of the whole of a bath device, the circulating pump 9 is started subsequently to a gas burner 1B on the hot water feeder side, and a burner 7B is automatically ignited. |
