The invention relates to a dental impression tray for holding the impression composition, which possesses an exactly fitting insert corresponding to the inner contours of the impression tray and arranged with a spacing, with holders. The holders comprise pins which can be inserted in holes in the impression tray and are provided with screw threads and counter-nuts. The impression tray having the design of the invention permits easy removal of the impression composition without damaging it.
