Arranged removably on a vehicle frame (12) of a lorry (10) is a dumping mechanism which has a mounting frame (14) with a dumping frame (20) mounted pivotably on its rear end. The first phase of the dumping process of the dumping frame (20) is undertaken by an upright lifting cylinder (42), in the lifting end position of which two lateral dumping cylinders (36) pivot the dumping frame into the unloading position (D). In the transporting position the dumping cylinders (36) can lie horizontally and, since they only become effective after a decisive inclined position of the dumping frame (20), they only exert low stresses on the mounting frame (14). <IMAGE>
