<p>PURPOSE:To independently and simultaneously display the image information of, for example, a related document and two pages of a drawing by displaying respective bits of image information with the different classification by the same retrieved literature at the left and right screen of an image display means. CONSTITUTION:Image information retrieved from an optical disk device 16 is transferred to a control part 22, one page of the image information is displayed on the screen of a left CRT 19, and on the lower part screen of the left CRT 19, a footer to instruct the function such as the first page display, representative page display, drawing page display, page skipping display and page printing of the retrieving object literature is displayed. Plural classification display modes are selected by the operation of a keyboard 21, for example, a document is displayed on the screen of the left CRT 19, and a drawing A with a different classification is displayed on the screen of a right CRT 20 related to the document. For respective screens of the left CRT 19 and the right CRT 20, the screens are respectively switched independently by shifting the footer.</p> |
