PURPOSE:To attain a sure popup operation by providing a base member under a popup arm so as to turn the arm horizontally thereby preventing the arm from entering the under part of the receiving member. CONSTITUTION:A base member 30 is fitted to turn the arm 11 horizontally under the popup arm 11 of the popup mechanism. In loading a disk, the arm 11 is turned in the direction of arrow and latched by a latching claw 20. In ejecting a disk, a lever 20 is operated, then a head arm reception member 15 is elevated to lift up the arm 11 via a plate spring 21 thereby releasing the latch. Then the arm 11 is turned in a direction opposite to the arrow by the reaction of a return spring 24 to push out the disk. Thus, the arm does not enter the under part of the member 15 by the presence of the base member 30 and sure operation is attained.
