PURPOSE:To make it possible to facilitate the chucking of a roll of base paper, by setting on a pair of right and left rolls provided on a carrier vehicle for supplying the roll of base paper, and by rotating the rolls in association with the movement of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:Rotary rolls 11 are rotatably provided in parallel with each other on a carrier bed of a carrier vehicle traveling on rails 21. A drive wheel 29 is fitted on a shaft 27 which is meshed with an axle 18 for wheels 19 of the carrier vehicle 40 through the intermediary of a bevel gear, and is wound thereon with a belt 31 which is also wound on sprocket wheels for the rotary rolls 11 and a detouring roll 34. A roll 41 of base paper is set on the rolls 11 by means of a fork lift in the vicinity of the carrier vehicle. Then, when the carrier vehicle is made to travel on the rails 21 in order to introduce the roll of base paper into the next process station, the rotary rolls 11 is associatingly rotated so that the roll of base paper is also rotated to become accustomed to the outer surface of the rolls 11, resulting in coincidence of the center E of the roll 41 of base paper with the center H of the carrier vehicle 40. With this arrangement, it is possible to automate the centering of the roll 41 of base roll thereby it is possible to facilitate the chucking thereof.
