PURPOSE:To inhibit occurrence of yellow fog in a color photographic material having a silver halide emulsion layer containing an alpha-acylacetoamide type yellow coupler and derivative gelatin by adding one or more kinds of nucleic acids to the emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:To a silver halide emulsion layer containing a yellow coupler represented by formula I (where R1 is alkyl, cyclic alkyl, aryl, alkenyl or a heterocyclic ring which may have a substituent; each of R2 and R3 is alkyl or aryl which may have a substituent; and Z is a split-off group), e.g. the compound of formula II or III and derivative gelatin is added at least one kind of nucleic acids such as deoxyribonucleic acid or ribonucleic acid in an amt. of about 0.025-10, preferably 0.02-0.5g per mol of silver halide. This emulsion layer is then added to a color photographic material to inhibit occurrence of yellow fog. |
