PURPOSE:To set up the width of a conductor and an interval between conductors in a hair pin part to a value larger than the diameter of a magnetic bubble and to obtain a swap gate having excellent characteristics by forming a hair pin conductor laid over the tip of a writing main wire and the tip of a small loop and a linear conductor through an insulating layer. CONSTITUTION:The upper surface of the magnetic bubble is formed as an S pole, a bias magnetic field is formed from the upper and lower parts of a paper surface, a bubble driving rotary magnetic field 14 is to be rotated in the counterclockwise direction, and the bubbles of the small loop and the writing main wire are positioned on respective tips 9, 13 in case of thetaR=-180 deg.(T1). When a current pulse I15 is applied to a lower layer conductor pattern 11, the bias magnetic field in the hair pin loop is increased and the bubble on the tip 9 disappears. When the magnetic field is rotated by 180 deg., the bubble is transferred to the tip 10, and when a reverse pulse 16 is applied to the conductor 11, the bias magnetic field in the loop is reduced and the bubble becomes a stripe magnetic section. If the current pulse 16 is removed at a phase T4 during the impression of a current pulse 17 to the upper layer conductor 12, the stripe magnetic section is contracted to the tip 9 side of a low magnetic field and returned to the bubble. In said constitution, a swap gate with excellent characteristics can be obtained.
