PURPOSE:To keep a carried-out silver halide photographic sensitive material in a sufficiently dry state at any time by providing a means which squeezes and dries processing liquid on the photographic material carried out by a processing part nearby the entrance and/or exit of a drying part. CONSTITUTION:A developer tank 6, a fixing tank 7, a washing tank 8, and the drying part 9 are arranged contiguously in order along a conveyance path 5 from a film insertion hole 1a, and an unprocessed photosensitive material is carried in through the film insertion hole 1a and developed before being carried out of a film takeout hole 1a. The drying part 9 consists of a squeezing part 91 equipped with a squeeze roller 911 which squeeze out the water of the photosensitive material after processing and a water absorbing roller 912 which absorbs stuck drops of water and a hot air drying part 92 which blows hot air to the photosensitive material passed through the squeezing part 91. Consequently, the photosensitive material passed through the hot air drying part 92 is dried and discharged from the film takeout hole 2a.
