The invention can be used for hermetic refrigerant compressors of relatively small capacity. The aim of the invention is to bring about a reduction in cost in the manufacture of the hermetic casing by reducing the number of parts. According to the invention, the hermetic casing consists of two identical basic drawn parts with specially shaped shoulders for receiving the electrical and refrigerating connections. The invention can be used only in hermetic refrigerant compressor construction. <IMAGE>
