PURPOSE:To improve adhesion between a roll and a material to be transported by arranging the constitution in such a way that a roll having a conductive layer formed along at least surface layer part and an electrode connected to an outside high voltage power source and connected to the conductive layer are provided. CONSTITUTION:When a high voltage power source 30 is turned on at the same time as the power source of a printer is turned on, high voltage with very small current value is applied on an electrode 40. Since conductive metal coated microspheres are dispersedly mingled into an intermediate tube 12, charge from the electrode 40 becomes an ion and flies in the air and electrify the surface of the intermediate tube 12. As the result of it, an electrostatic place is formed and polarigation is caused in a printing paper sent to a platen roll 10 by the electrostatic place. As the result of it, the printing paper is adsorbed to the platen roll 10 side and adhered to the surface of the roll 10 and accordingly high grade printing becomes possible. Further noise and vibration levels accompanied by the printing action is sharply decreased as compared when used the conventional platen roll.
