<p>PURPOSE:To improve the cassette storing efficiency by turning the cassettes taken out of many cassette store shelves by a cassette shifter by 90 deg. by means of a turning device and inserting those cassettes into the cassette inserting slot of a recording/reproducing device in the lengthwise direction. CONSTITUTION:The cassettes 1 are successively extracted toward an arrow head (b) from the shelf addresses of the shelves 2 and 15 designated at the cassette shifter side 16 by a cassette shifter 4 which moves in the X and Y directions. These extracted cassettes are moved automatically by the shifter 4 and supplied successively and selectively to each cassette rotary device 10 from the arrow head (b). Then the directions of cassettes 1 are turned by 90 deg. toward the arrow head (b) and supplied successively and selectively to a cassette slot 9 of each recording/reproducing device 8 toward the lengthwise direction from the direction of an arrow head (d). Thus a side-loading recording/ reproducing device is available and furthermore many cassettes can be arranged in many cassette store shelves in the vertical direction so that the lengthwise direction is set rectangular to the operator side.</p> |
