PURPOSE:To obtain a high grinding ratio and improve ground face roughness and precision by grinding with the circular arc base section similar to an isosceles triangle having the apex angle of 90 deg. or an obtuse angle and pushing a grinding liquid to the front face in the advance direction and returning and inserting it into a gap with the processing face from the inside. CONSTITUTION:A grindstone piece 4 is fitted to the recess 6 of an annular holder 5 with a metal 8 and is rotated clockwise, when a grinding liquid is fed outward from the center, it hits a front edge 9a in the advance direction, the inward pressing force is returned, and the grinding liquid passes the inside of the grindstone piece 4 through a gap with an object to be ground and is discharged. The grinding face of the grindstone piece 4 is narrowed in width toward the second-half section in the advance direction, thus chips generated at the first-half section are quickly discharged. Accordingly, no harmful resistance is generated, a phenomenon giving ill effects to finishing, such as sliding or floating due to chips, does not occur, the apex angle of the grindstone piece 4 is made 90 deg. or an obtuse angle, sections equivalent to the apex angle and the base are eliminated, and the strength of the grindstone piece is increased.
