PURPOSE:To adjust the posture of a vehicle rapidly by operating a target roll angle which equalizes upper and lower loads which act on right and left tires, liftingly controlling one of vehicle height adjusting means on right and left wheel sides wheel loweringly controlling the other, in accordance with deviation between the target roll angle and an actual roll angle. CONSTITUTION:When a vehicle comes to a corner while traveling, a control means 5 operates a centripetal acceleration which acts on a body from the outputs of a vehicle speed sensor 1 and a steering sensor 2, and operates a target roll angle from the centripetal acceleration and a vehicle weight, a roll- shaft height, and a roll rigidity. Then, the target roll angle is compared with the roll angle of the body which is detected by a roll angle sensor 3. And, when the detected roll angle is larger than the target roll angle, vehicle height adjusting means 4 provided on the wheels are controlled in such a way that the revolving outer wheel side is liftingly controlled while the revolving inner wheel side is loweringly controlled. |
